A product designer with 10+ years across fintech, finance and web3. I turn dense, high-stakes systems into products that feel clear, human and genuinely valuable to the business.

I dig into the why and the how behind everything I work on. In complex, high-stakes domains that isn't a luxury, it's how you find the insight that makes a hard product feel simple, and the angle competitors miss.
It's why I'm drawn to fintech, finance and web3: the deeper you understand the system, the more confidently you can simplify it for the people who rely on it. I've done that for products used by millions, at top-tier banks and early-stage startups alike.
My path ran through finance and marketing before design, and I treat that as an advantage. I read a P&L and a brand the way I read a user flow, so design decisions stay tied to commercial outcomes, not just aesthetics.
A decade with diverse teams has sharpened how I collaborate, scale design systems and ship to deadline. Today that same curiosity is aimed at tooling: building design workflows and modern products that move faster without losing the human touch.
A design system is only worth what teams actually reuse. I audited what already existed, standardised the parts six products disagreed on, and ran weekly reviews so components shipped with documentation rather than good intentions. 98 components, six products, 95,000 end users at tier-one banks.
Rather than draw a library from nothing, I put our tokens over shadcn/ui and spent the time saved on the parts nobody else could build: whole-life-cost comparison tables, scenario modelling, benchmarking charts. Versioned in Storybook, WCAG AA, ready for EU Digital Product Passports.
The barrier was crypto's vocabulary, not its technology. I stripped the jargon, rebuilt the information architecture around what a sports fan already understands, and held one brand together across minting, staking and the marketplace.
I validate a problem with product managers before a design sprint is justified, so engineering time goes to what users actually asked for. Deciding against a feature rarely makes a case study, and it is often the most valuable call in the room.
Red Dot Award · SmartStream Air. Air runs entirely on the design system I audited, evolved and championed across the product suite. The award went to the product; the system underneath it is the part I worked on daily.
The recognition I value alongside it is written rather than framed. The design directors who managed me directly at SmartStream and Blockasset both recommend me publicly, as do the Head of Development and the Design System Lead I built with day to day.
Honest about trade-offs, progress and what the work can and can't do, no surprises for the team.
I make complex decisions explainable, to engineers and non-technical stakeholders alike.
I design from real user research and context, not from my own assumptions.
My best work happens with product, engineering and stakeholders in the room together.
I bring options, not just opinions, probing the why and the how before the what.
Open to senior and lead product design roles, in-house or contract, remote-friendly across the UK and EU. I'm at my best on complex, automated or data-heavy products where design has to earn trust.
How I work: Figma and scalable design systems, generative prototyping, Agile and Design Sprints, and close, daily partnership with product and engineering from discovery through to shipped.
